How to set up a HIIT Workout
When it comes to putting up a HIIT workout, things are relatively simple since you're simply assigning different parts of a room or outdoor space with various sorts of exercises to get the blood flowing.
For example, before the wedding, a group of eight people was instructed by Nathan, our PT, to stand at different workout stations that he had set up on a field near where we were staying.
These different workout stations for a Interval workout were:
Squats
Press ups
Sprints
Burpees
Every station, we spent 30 seconds with a 15-second pause in between to allow us to catch our breath.
(A great App to use to keep time is the interval timer app you can download from the app store or google app store.)
A 20 minute HIIT workout
Below you'll find an easy HIIT workout that you can follow which you can later adapt as you become more familiar with different exercises.
Set aside parts of the training room or outside space with distinct workstations before beginning your group HIIT exercise or solo session. Also, don't forget to download and install an interval timer app; this will make timekeeping a lot easier for you.
Within this HIIT workout you'll be doing 4 different exercises for a total of 4 sets.
Below is the order of how you should do the workout:
1. Sprint for 30 seconds
2. Squat for 30 seconds
3. Burpee for 30 seconds
4. Press up for 30 seconds
Rest for 15seconds in-between each exercise and once you've done them all take a minute 1 rest before you begin the next set.
Repeat 4 more times and you'll done a 20minute workout.
